Everyone has intuition but not everyone is able to use their high level of thought to see that they can feel things and know things. When you experience intuition, you know that it is not always just a thought that comes to your mind.
Intuition will happen based on things that you have went through in your life, past things, the way that you feel about the situation and what you expect in your life. When you follow your feelings of intuition, sometimes it causes you to make bad choices. You have to learn to understand your intuition and your gut feeling to make a good decision.
Instinct and Intuition
People need to make sure that they don’t confuse instinct with intuition. People have different ways that they think about things and this is how we know when we are to stay out of dangerous situations. Intuition will be a deeper thing, and no one shares the same kind of intuition that other people have.
When you change from a child to an adult, your intuition increases because you have more factual information, and this influences how you decide things. This can be hard to accept because we learn from a young age that adults are always right and that children are often wrong. This is something some adults have a hard time letting go of.
Sometimes people think that things they were told as children still exists such as weighing all the options or looking at the facts or even not to trust your emotions.
Trusting Your Intuition
According to studies, around half of all Americans feel that their intuition helps them to make choices. Some people in business will even follow their intuition to make big business decisions.
Even Oprah Winfrey believes that she has a small voice that tells her not to make mistakes and to do certain things.
Intuition is faster than just thinking something through and it is something that we sometimes ignore. No one can tell you what you should do in your life and how you can go about become great. You have to learn to trust yourself on these things.
Listening to your intuition can help you to have a good reaction. When you follow your intuition or listen to your gut, you will see that things change such as:
- Heartbeat increases.
- Breathing changes.
- Muscles get tight.
These are physical responses to your intuition and sometimes they can cause people to have panic attacks. Your intuition is not something to harm you but to help you to make wise decisions.
These signals might make you feel that the things you are choosing are logical, but you have to learn to listen and pay attention to your intuition.
How to Listen to Your Intuition
Once you get past the way that your body reacts, you might learn to listen to the things happening around you. Sometimes you can do this because of things you went through in your past or because of expectations of your future. Remember to pay attention to what has happened in your life when you make a decision:
- What kind of prejudices do I have?
- Do I make assumptions about what is going to happen?
- How are facts related to my intuition?
When you make good decisions, you listen to your thinking and you learn to trust yourself. You listen to the voice inside of you and you really take time to listen and think things through.
There are different habits that people that trust their intuition have, and this is an emotional thought and a process to help them to be successful.
